en.Wedoany.com Reported - Elemental Royalty Corporation has acquired approximately 9% equity in Quilla Resources to provide financial support for the Chapi copper mine project in southern Peru. This investment will be used to advance exploration, technical engineering, and expansion efforts at the mine site, as well as to support Quilla's preparations for a future public listing. Additionally, as part of the transaction, Elemental has secured a permanent 1% royalty on Quilla's Pampa Negra and Candelaria mining claims, which were recently added by Quilla to bolster its growth plans.

This investment solidifies the partnership established between the two companies since 2025. At that time, Elemental had already secured royalties related to the Chapi project, and has since closely monitored its progress since the mine resumed operations, gaining deeper insights into the asset and its development strategy.

The acquired resources will be used to continue mine exploration, conduct technical studies, and advance operational expansion plans. The expansion aims to increase annual production capacity to approximately 30,000 tonnes of cathode copper. Since resuming operations, Quilla has focused on safely boosting output, expanding exploration scope, and conducting research necessary to support growth.

Elemental's entry as a strategic shareholder helps align the interests of both companies, strengthening long-term collaboration with a focus on unlocking the potential of the Chapi copper mine. For Quilla, this investment reflects industry recognition of the project's achievements to date and confidence in its development strategy for the coming years.
