en.Wedoany.com Reported - Italian National Road Company (Anas) has awarded the construction contract for the "Ponte dei Congressi" public works project in the capital Rome to the Eteria consortium. The winning bid is €7.1 million lower than the total value of €218.6 million stated in the tender documents, and all nine bids received within the specified deadline have been evaluated.
The bridge project aims to alleviate vehicle traffic congestion, particularly at the intersection connecting the Rome Eur district and the Magliana district with roads leading to and from Fiumicino Airport.
Companies involved in the Eteria consortium for execution include Itinera, Vianini Lavori, Icop, and Cimolai; the design firms participating in the tender are led by Via Ingegneria (lead company) along with Sina and M Ingegneria. Environmental monitoring is jointly handled by Sina (lead company) and Essebi. Preliminary clearance of war remnants has been entrusted to Bm Service.
Founded in 2021, the Eteria consortium comprises Vianini Lavori (a company under the Caltagirone Group), Itinera, Icop, and Sinelec, with operations covering railway infrastructure, water circulation systems, airport infrastructure, sports stadiums and arenas, maritime engineering, road infrastructure, civil and industrial construction, and social infrastructure.
Design work will be carried out under the supervision of Anas. The initial design of the Ponte dei Congressi dates back to 2007, and it was not until 2025 that the project was accelerated due to its inclusion in the Jubilee works.
