en.Wedoany.com Reported - CIMC Enric's steel-coke integration project in Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, successfully commenced trial production in June and has since been operating stably. Upon full production, the project will achieve an annual output of approximately 140,000 tonnes of LNG and 24 million Nm³ of high-purity hydrogen. The project is majority-owned by CIMC Enric and jointly constructed with Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. By integrating equipment manufacturing and coking industry resources, the two parties have established a "technology + industry" cooperation model to convert coke oven gas, a byproduct of coking, into hydrogen and LNG, aiming to create a benchmark demonstration project for the synergistic development of circular economy and clean energy.

On the 20th of this month, the project held a production commencement ceremony in Liupanshui City. Leaders including Gao Xiang, President of CIMC Group and Chairman of CIMC Enric; Li Yinhui, Vice President of CIMC Group; Shan Libo, Assistant to the President of CIMC Group; and Long Yu, General Manager of Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., attended the event to witness the milestone. Sun Zhengping, Vice President of CIMC Enric's New Energy Business Center, introduced the project's basic information to the attending guests during the ceremony.

The total investment in the project exceeds RMB 800 million. Upon full production, it is expected to create over 110 new jobs. Since its trial production in June, the project has been operating stably, and recently completed the delivery of its first batch of LNG products, as well as LNG and hydrogen filling operations. On July 16, CIMC New Energy (Liupanshui) Technology Co., Ltd. and China Resources Gas Energy Development Co., Ltd. held the first LNG truck delivery ceremony. Simultaneously, the plant completed the first truck filling of both LNG and 99.999% high-purity hydrogen, marking the project's entry into an operational phase of synchronized production, supply assurance, and delivery of dual clean energy sources—LNG and high-purity hydrogen.

CIMC Enric stated that, taking the Liupanshui project as a starting point, it is committed to becoming a model for optimizing the energy structure in the Southwest region, creating clean, efficient, intelligent, and low-carbon energy projects. By driving the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industrial chains through project construction, it aims to enhance regional energy security and supply stability, providing support for the high-quality development of the local economy.
