en.Wedoany.com Reported - Portuguese energy group EDP announced on Tuesday that it has completed the sale of its wind and solar portfolio in Italy to PLT Energia, for approximately €150 million.

In a statement to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), EDP confirmed that, following the disclosure of the agreement signing on June 30, 2026, EDP Renewables has now notified the completion of the transaction.

The transaction was carried out through EDP Renováveis, in which EDP holds a 71.4% stake, involving the sale of 100% of the related assets in southern Italy.

The portfolio has a total installed capacity of 68 MW, comprising four wind projects with a total capacity of 60 MW (average operating age of 11 years) and one solar project of approximately 8 MW (in operation for less than one year). These plants are located in the regions of Apulia (Puglia), Basilicata, and Campania (Campânia).

All of these assets benefit from long-term contracts: the wind projects are covered by 20-year Contracts for Difference (CfD), while the solar project has a ten-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

At the end of June this year, EDP stated that the transaction's completion was subject to customary conditions (including regulatory approvals) and was expected to be finalized within 2026. The company now confirms that the relevant conditions have been met and the sale has been formally completed.
