This collaboration paves the way for a new distributed electricity product, which the two companies will showcase in September.

In Europe and beyond, operators of data centers, industrial sites, and critical infrastructure face a common challenge: ensuring continuous, reliable power supply during a period of rising electricity demand, constrained grids, and lengthy grid connection delays. Renewable energy and storage are crucial to this transition, but many sites also require an always-available on-site power generation source as a supplement. Solid oxide fuel cells fill this gap precisely. They convert natural gas, renewable gas, or hydrogen directly into electricity through electrochemical reactions. The result is high electrical efficiency, significantly reduced CO2 emissions compared to combustion-based power generation, near-zero air pollutants, and quiet, continuous operation, either grid-connected or off-grid. Waste heat can be recovered for combined heat and power.
For EODev, this partnership is a natural extension of its strategy: integrating complementary technologies into power solutions tailored to each customer's site and constraints. In addition to hydrogen generators and battery storage, SOFC adds a continuous baseload module for customers requiring round-the-clock power. Each standard system provides 600 kW and can be combined to meet multi-megawatt power demands. EODev CEO Stéphane Jardin stated that customers are not looking for a specific technology; they want reliable power that suits their site and helps reduce emissions; SOFC enables them to offer efficient, low-carbon power that runs continuously on-site. By partnering with Baudouin, EODev gains a trusted industrial partner capable of bringing it to market with the quality and support customers expect. For Baudouin, this partnership extends its power generation expertise to next-generation fuel cell technology, delivered through a partner with deep integration and service capabilities. Baudouin CEO Fabrizio Mozzi stated that the collaboration with EODev represents a significant milestone in Baudouin's new energy journey. By combining its expertise in critical power applications with innovative solid oxide fuel cell technology, Baudouin is expanding the range of solutions it can offer customers while upholding its commitment to reliability, performance, and long-term energy transition. Under the partnership agreement, EODev will integrate Baudouin's SOFC solutions in Europe, with exclusive rights in France and Poland, and seek further opportunities in international markets. The solution is currently being validated on-site through pilot installations, with a commercial launch planned for September 2026, and initial customer deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2027.
