en.Wedoany.com Reported - Toronto Pearson Airport has announced that it has awarded the design and construction contract for a major infrastructure project to NORR-DIALOG and PCL Construction.

According to a press release from the airport, this contract is part of the Facilities and Terminals Long-term Investment (LIFT) program. The Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 revitalization projects launched under this program have an investment of CAD 1.5 billion.

The project will invest in gates, passenger processing areas, and customs and immigration facilities, aiming to improve passenger flow at Pearson Airport, allowing travelers to complete the boarding process more smoothly while enhancing overall airport operational efficiency.

Planned improvements include terminal space expansion, lounge renovations, increased charging stations within the terminals, baggage handling system upgrades, modernization of check-in areas, and installation of advanced security screening equipment.

Construction will be carried out in phases to ensure the airport maintains efficient operations with minimal disruption.

The T1/T3 revitalization plan is the second major announcement under Pearson Airport's LIFT program. In May, the airport launched the first project under this program, a CAD 3 billion airside and baggage system project.
