en.Wedoany.com Reported - BYD recently released official images of the Qin MAX model, which has completed MIIT declaration. The new car will be available in plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions, equipped with flash charging function, with a wheelbase of 2820mm, positioned above the Qin L.

In terms of exterior, the front face adopts a family-style design, with a forward-lowering profile creating a swooping stance. A matte silver chrome dragon whisker trim runs horizontally across the front, with the iconic small seal script "Qin" character of the Dynasty series engraved in the center, connecting to the daytime running light strips along the upper edge of the headlights at both ends, forming a distinctive front face feature. The matrix LED headlights on both sides are elongated and upward-slanting, housing matrix light clusters paired with slender dragon whisker daytime running light strips.

On the side profile, the signature fastback roofline smoothly slopes down from the A-pillar, extending to the small ducktail at the rear. The roof features a black contrasting panoramic sunroof, with window frame edges paired with matte black trim, creating a floating roof effect. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4866/1880/1495mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2820mm.

The rear design adopts a Chinese knot-inspired through-type flowing taillight, with the lamp housing treated in a smoked black finish. Inside, ribbon-like layered light textures are arranged, with the light strip spanning across the rear, and the BYD brand logo embedded in the center. The lower rear bumper features a black sporty surround, with faux aerodynamic grooves on both sides replicating the front face design.

In terms of powertrain, the plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor, forming a plug-in hybrid system. The engine has a maximum power of 74kW, and the motor has a maximum power of 175kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The pure electric version uses a single motor, with maximum power outputs of 120kW and 240kW respectively, and power battery capacities of 52.868kWh and 64.315kWh, corresponding to CLTC ranges of 530km and 630km respectively. In terms of charging, the Qin MAX is equipped with BYD's second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology. Based on real-world test data from existing flash charging models, the vehicle can fast charge from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes, and from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes. In extreme cold weather conditions of -30°C, the charging time increases by only 3 minutes.
