Indovinya and Air Liquide Sign Renewable Oxygen Supply Agreement
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Indovinya (the specialty chemicals and surfactants division of Indorama Ventures) has signed a renewable oxygen supply agreement with Air Liquide, marking a new step in the company's efforts to reduce emissions and expand low-carbon chemical solutions.
Under the agreement, this renewable oxygen will be used in the production of ethylene oxide, one of Indovinya's key raw materials. This initiative is expected to increase the proportion of renewable raw materials in production and help reduce the carbon footprint of some products by up to 15%.
Air Liquide is a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare. This collaboration supports Indovinya's broader sustainability strategy, which aims to reduce emissions across its value chain while helping customers achieve their own environmental goals.
John Smith, Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) of Indovinya, stated that this partnership is an important milestone for Indovinya as it continues to integrate sustainability into its value chain. Using renewable oxygen in production enables the company to significantly reduce emissions from key raw materials and supports its broader strategy of providing low-carbon solutions to customers.
The agreement comes as Indovinya advances toward its long-term sustainability goals. In 2025, the company surpassed its sustainable product target, with sustainable solutions accounting for 20.5% of total revenue, exceeding the initial target of 15%.
Indovinya expects the renewable oxygen initiative to support future sustainability milestones, including a target that 50% of new products will be assessed as sustainable within the coming years.
