en.Wedoany.com Reported - Kazakhstan's low-cost airline FlyArystan plans to launch a direct flight route from Almaty to Chongqing on September 23, 2026. The new route will become the airline's fifth route in China, complementing its existing network of routes to Urumqi, Yining, and Xi'an.

The inaugural flight is scheduled to depart on September 23, 2026, operating twice weekly with a one-way flight time of approximately 5 hours. The flight schedule is as follows: Outbound (Almaty to Chongqing, flight number to be announced) departs every Wednesday and Saturday at 20:55, arriving the next day at 04:55; Return (Chongqing to Almaty, flight number FS7870) departs every Thursday and Sunday at 05:55, arriving at 08:25 (all times local). Tickets are now available for pre-sale.

FlyArystan President and CEO John Eidhagen stated that launching the Chongqing route reflects the company's strategy to expand its international network and meet the growing travel demand between Kazakhstan and China. He noted that Chongqing, as a major city, previously had no direct flights to Kazakhstan. Thanks to an agreement reached between the aviation authorities of the two countries, this route has been made possible, making FlyArystan the first Kazakh airline to operate this route. Standard one-way fares start from 96,000 tenge and are available for booking on the FlyArystan official website, mobile app, and other channels.
