en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australia's Lynas Rare Earths has reported its highest quarterly revenue in nearly four years, with sales reaching A$288.9 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025-26, up 70% year-on-year, marking a new high in nearly four years. This growth was driven by record rare earth prices and strong demand from regions outside China.

The average selling price for all rare earth products in the quarter reached a record A$98.2 per kilogram, up 63% year-on-year. Drivers include improved pricing for neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr), a higher share of heavy rare earth sales, and an increased premium relative to market indices.

Pol Le Roux, Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lynas Rare Earths, stated that following the production of the first batch of samarium oxide in March 2026, the company has received strong customer demand, and customer qualification processes are underway. Customer orders for the first batch of samarium oxide are expected in the September quarter, with the product manufactured at Lynas' Kuantan plant in Malaysia. Samarium is used in high-performance magnets for electronics and aerospace, as well as in optics, catalysts, and medical applications. Le Roux was promoted from Chief Operating Officer (COO) to Interim CEO on July 1, succeeding Amanda Lacaze, who resigned after 12 years to become Chair of the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA).

Due to growing customer demand, production of dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb) at Lynas' Malaysian plant climbed to 19 tonnes in the quarter, more than double the March quarter. Total rare earth oxide production reached 3,481 tonnes, up from 3,233 tonnes three months earlier. The company's cash and short-term deposits surged to A$1.2 billion at the end of the quarter, far above A$166.4 million a year earlier, providing Le Roux with financial support for the A$50 million Malaysian magnet plant project in collaboration with JS Link and the expanded heavy rare earth facility in Kuantan.
