en.Wedoany.com Reported - JHernando has installed a modular multi-outlet TramoSort sorter at TD SYNNEX's distribution center in the Iberian Peninsula to improve goods sorting and enhance distribution operational efficiency. The automated sorting system deployed in this project is used to sequence the flow of goods and direct them to the corresponding logistics destinations, aiming to accelerate shipment preparation, improve the process of allocating goods by route, and reduce operational time.

The TramoSort sorter can process up to 5,000 items per hour and is used to classify orders by delivery destination, customer, or transport company. The system features three distinct loading points, two located on the ground floor and one on the mezzanine, depending on the type of operation. To sort items into 17 outlets (with mixed chutes returning items to the ground floor), the system is equipped with a certified DWS device featuring a continuous weighing scale, autofocus volume measurement, and five-sided camera reading. The technology also includes a recirculation carousel to maintain operational continuity and avoid production line downtime, thereby optimizing performance.

Roger Hyam, Logistics Director of TD SYNNEX Iberia, stated that the collaboration with JHernando has always been oriented towards fluidity and finding the most suitable solution for operations. He believes that JHernando's technical knowledge and ability to accompany the implementation at all stages were crucial for integrating a sorting system that not only meets the current needs of the center but also provides greater efficiency, enhancing the capacity to serve Spain and Portugal. Juan Francisco Hernando, CEO of JHernando, noted that the installation of the sorter is a key element in the operation of the new center, helping to manage shipments more efficiently and contributing to strengthening TD SYNNEX's ability to provide more agile and precise service to its customers in Spain and Portugal. The Guadalajara distribution center aims to enhance TD SYNNEX's service capacity in Spain and Portugal, with an official statement indicating its intention to become a strategic node for technology distribution in the Iberian Peninsula.
