Covering an area of over 30,000 square meters with a total investment of approximately 100 million euros, this facility is Amazon's first dedicated fulfillment center in Spain for high-demand products.

The facility, code-named "ZAZ8," was previously suspended in 2023 due to business adjustments and was planned to be converted into a returns processing center. After this repositioning, its core function has shifted to the centralized storage and transit distribution of daily high-frequency consumer goods such as baby wipes, infant formula, and nutritional supplements. The center will initially be staffed by approximately 100 employees, with plans to gradually expand the workforce to 600 within three years, building capacity for the year-end e-commerce peak season.

Operationally, the fulfillment center will serve as a logistics hub, receiving approximately 35 truckloads of goods daily for storage. After sorting and consolidation, these goods will be transported to Barcelona and then distributed to other regions across Spain. By centrally storing high-turnover products, the center will ensure a continuous flow of inventory to Amazon's more than 40 logistics facilities in Spain, leveraging its strategic location in the northeastern part of the country to enhance service coverage efficiency for the national market. Amazon stated that the center will align with its goal of achieving a fully electric fleet by 2030, gradually introducing electric vehicles for internal transportation to reduce carbon emissions.
