en.Wedoany.com Reported - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is expanding its voluntary "Product of USA" label program, with six more meat and poultry companies expected to join. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins will announce the expansion later that day.

The label applies to meat, poultry, and egg products made from animals born, raised, slaughtered, and processed in the United States. The USDA stated that the label is designed to assure consumers that products are entirely of U.S. origin, while creating more market opportunities for American farmers, ranchers, and processors.

This announcement is part of the department's broader efforts to strengthen domestic livestock processing and support rural economies. Last month, the USDA launched the "Strengthening Processing for U.S. Ranchers" (SPUR) program, investing $500 million to expand processing capacity at small- and medium-sized meat processing facilities. Enhancing processing capacity and expanding label usage will help keep more of the food supply chain within the United States and bring greater value to rural communities.

The latest companies to adopt the "Product of USA" label include: Creekstone Farms (Kansas), Caviness Beef Packers, CS Beef Packers (Texas), Greener Pastures S (Texas), Lone Star Beef Processors (Texas), and Claxton Poultry Farms (Georgia).

The USDA stated that it has received strong interest from processors nationwide and expects more companies to adopt the label in the coming months to meet growing consumer demand for authentic U.S.-origin meat and poultry products. The label program is one of the department's ongoing efforts to enhance consumer transparency and strengthen demand for products sourced entirely from American producers.
