First Canadian Graphite Discovers 43.4% Graphite Grade

en.Wedoany.com Reported - First Canadian Graphite (TSX-V:FCI) announced results from its Phase 1 exploration program at Zone 13 of the Lac Guéret South project in Quebec, Canada, discovering graphite carbon grades of up to 43.4%.

The Phase 1 exploration program utilized the Beep Mat geophysical survey method and collected a total of 46 samples, of which 14 returned graphite carbon grades exceeding 20%. The highest-grade sample came from location L852643, reaching 43.4%; other notable results included graphite carbon grades of 42.30%, 41.9%, and 32%. This survey method is used to identify near-surface conductive zones and is suitable for areas with thin overburden and poor outcrop exposure.

Chief Executive Officer John LaGourgue stated that after evaluating preliminary airborne geophysical data, the company prioritized Zone 13 as a target for ground verification, and the results exceeded expectations, with over 30% of samples returning graphite carbon grades above 20%. LaGourgue noted that Zone 13 has now become a significant new discovery, and the company plans to follow up on these results as soon as possible.

The company is preparing its Phase 2 exploration program, which includes completing the Beep Mat survey at Zone 13, initiating surveys at Zone 6, conducting additional sampling at the Esbec showing, and carrying out field inspections at Zones 3 and 4.
