NIO Inc. Sees Monthly Vehicle Deliveries Grow 13.1% YoY in May 2025

Wedoany.com Report-Jun 4, NIO Inc., a prominent company in China’s smart electric vehicle (EV) sector, reported delivering 23,231 vehicles in May 2025, marking a 13.1% increase compared to the previous year, according to a company press release. The deliveries included 13,270 vehicles from its premium NIO brand, 6,281 from the family-focused ONVO brand, and 3,680 from the newly launched high-end FIREFLY brand, which completed its first full month in the market.

By May 31, 2025, NIO had delivered a cumulative total of 760,789 vehicles, comprising 710,655 NIO-branded vehicles, 46,223 ONVO vehicles, and 3,911 FIREFLY vehicles. These figures reflect NIO’s growing presence in the EV market, driven by its diverse brand portfolio catering to different consumer segments.

In the second half of May, NIO introduced four updated models: the versatile smart electric SUV new ES6, the coupe-style electric SUV new EC6, the mid-size electric coupe new ET5, and the smart electric tourer new ET5T. These models incorporate NIO’s advanced technologies, including the NX9031 ADAS chip, the SkyOS operating system, and the SkyRide intelligent chassis, collectively known as the “next-gen trio.” June 2025 will be the first full month of deliveries for these enhanced models, further strengthening NIO’s market offerings.

On May 30, NIO began deploying the first version of its “NIO World Model” (NWM) software update to over 400,000 vehicles on the Banyan platform. The update will extend to Cedar platform models, including the ET9, new ES6, new EC6, new ET5, and new ET5T, by the end of June, enhancing vehicle performance and user experience across its lineup.
