Coeur Mining sets record financial results in Q2 2026

Benefiting from the inclusion of the New Afton and Rainy River mines, the company reported GAAP net income of $122 million ($0.12 per share) for the quarter, with adjusted EBITDA reaching $478 million, up 124% year-over-year, marking the highest level in its history. Notably, these results were achieved against a backdrop of lower average metal prices during the quarter—with gold averaging $4,140 per ounce and silver averaging $71.18 per ounce.

On the production front, gold output set a quarterly record of 163,490 ounces, up 51% year-over-year, driven primarily by the first full production quarter from New Afton and Rainy River, as well as higher output from the Wharf mine. Silver production remained steady at 4.4 million ounces, supported by record throughput at the Rochester complex's crushing facility.

With the balance sheet continuing to strengthen, the company has begun executing an enhanced capital return program. As of July 31, Coeur Mining had repurchased 6.7 million shares of common stock for $121 million and paid its inaugural semi-annual dividend of $0.02 per share in June.

Looking ahead to full-year 2026, the company revised its production guidance to reflect lower metal prices and a more gradual ramp-up of underground operations at its two new Canadian assets. The updated consolidated production guidance is 690,000 ounces of gold, 20 million ounces of silver, and 45 million pounds of copper, with full-year adjusted EBITDA expected at $2.3 billion.
