en.Wedoany.com Reported - AIC Mines has intersected a high-grade gold zone during exploration at the Eloise tenement in northern Queensland. A drill hole at the Eloise South prospect returned 3.2 meters at 92.5 g/t gold, including a 1.2-meter interval at 249 g/t gold. This is among the highest-grade gold mineralization results ever obtained from the tenement.

The prospect is located two kilometers south of the Eloise copper mine and forms part of a broader regional exploration program. AIC said the drilling was initially designed to extend known copper mineralization to the north, before being expanded to test the contact zones between geological units hosting sulfide mineralization.
The company said subsequent downhole electromagnetic surveys identified a conductive unit associated with the gold mineralization in the target area, with further drilling planned to test the target. AIC Mines Managing Director Aaron Colleran said the results highlight the exploration potential of the target area and that the company would rapidly advance follow-up work.
At the Iris prospect, approximately five kilometers north of the Eloise operation, drilling confirmed anomalous copper-gold mineralization extending over a 1.5-kilometer strike length. Latest intersections include 12 meters at 1% copper and 0.3 g/t gold, including a high-grade interval of 2 meters at 4.4% copper and 1.5 g/t gold.
Iris lies on the same regional structural corridor as the Eloise and Jericho copper deposits and remains open along strike and at depth. AIC plans to continue drilling at both the Iris and Eloise South targets during the current field season.
Colleran said the exploration team's understanding of the controls on copper-gold mineralization in the Eloise region is deepening. He noted that the high-grade copper intersections at Iris are particularly significant, as they suggest the potential for down-dip high-grade shoots within the broader 1.5-kilometer mineralized corridor, similar in style to the high-grade shoots at Jericho. This understanding reinforces the company's view of Iris as one of the highest-priority targets in the Eloise regional exploration portfolio.
