en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nordex Group has received an order from Swedish developer OX2 to supply and install 11 N175/6.X turbines for the Urleasca wind farm in southeastern Romania, with a total installed capacity of 77 MW. The contract also includes a 35-year premium service agreement.

OX2 has sold the project, which has completed its preliminary preparations, to Norwegian Scatec ASA, while retaining supervisory responsibility for the entire construction phase. Construction is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026, with commercial operation scheduled for the second half of 2028. The project has signed a long-term Contract for Difference (CfD) with the Romanian government, and the wind farm is located near Urleasca village in Brăila County, approximately 150 kilometers northeast of Bucharest.

Slava Feklin, Regional Manager for Romania and Ukraine at Nordex, stated that Romania continues to offer attractive opportunities for the deployment of modern wind power technology. Nordex noted that it has secured over 500 MW of orders in Romania in recent months.

The cooperation model for this transaction is common in the Nordic-Baltic region: OX2, headquartered in Stockholm and controlled by EQT, has long been active in wind power development in the Nordic-Baltic area, while Nordex's German factories supply the hardware. Romania's CfD-based project pipeline indicates that the Southeastern European market is attracting developers and manufacturers from around the Baltic Sea.
