Lanxess Germany Raises Adipic Acid Prices Globally, Averaging €150 per Ton

This marks Lanxess's second global adipic acid price hike disclosure in 2026. On January 26, the company had raised the product's price by an average of €100 per ton, effective immediately upon the announcement, with the adjustment primarily driven by increased raw material costs at that time.

Adipic acid is a chemical raw material required for the production of polyamide 66, polyurethane, plasticizers, and coatings. Lanxess's high-purity adipic acid is primarily used in products such as engineering plastics, technical fibers, flexible foams, thermoplastic polyurethane, and industrial coatings.
