en.Wedoany.com Reported - eSUN has launched a high-speed FDM 3D printing filament named PLA-HF, designed for everyday printing speeds of 600 mm/s, and capable of supporting up to 1000 mm/s when printer settings and application conditions permit.

As 3D printing hardware continues to iterate toward higher printing speeds, the impact of filament performance on printing consistency has become more critical. During high-speed printing, issues such as incomplete material melting, unstable extrusion, and insufficient cooling can directly compromise part quality.

eSUN previously released two high-speed FDM filaments, PLA-HS and PLA+HS. The introduction of PLA-HF further expands the high-speed PLA material options in this series, offering a balance between detail retention and structural performance.

The development of PLA-HF focuses on material flow, heating and cooling behavior, and interlayer adhesion. Its formulation improves material flow and controls viscosity to maintain melt and extrusion stability at higher printing speeds while reducing stringing and sagging. The filament is also designed to heat up quickly during extrusion and cool down rapidly after deposition, alleviating heat buildup, corner warping, and detail loss in high-speed printing. In terms of interlayer adhesion, PLA-HF provides good build plate adhesion with a Z-axis tensile strength of 32 MPa, supporting larger-scale, longer-duration print jobs and part manufacturing with dimensional consistency requirements.

At the application level, PLA-HF is aimed at scenarios requiring a balance between printing speed, part quality, and repeatability. Large-sized parts and assemblies can benefit from reduced printing time while maintaining dimensional accuracy and part strength; batch printing of figurines and toys can leverage its cooling and build plate adhesion properties to reduce deformation and improve consistency; projects with shorter production cycles, such as classroom demonstrations, display parts, and large-scale structural printing, can also adopt this material.
