en.Wedoany.com Reported - Delta Air Lines has announced it will launch a nonstop route between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) in Texas and Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) on March 27, 2027, with daily service during the summer season, operated by the Airbus A330-900neo. This will be the first nonstop route between Austin and Paris.

Delta unveiled the long-haul route alongside new international services from its major hubs in Los Angeles and Seattle, building on its existing joint venture with Air France-KLM. With Delta's domestic network in Austin having expanded steadily in recent years, the new long-haul route is seen as part of its broader investment in Central Texas.

In terms of schedule, eastbound flight DL100 is planned to depart Austin shortly after 3:00 p.m. local time, arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle around 8:15 a.m. the following day; the return flight DL99 is scheduled to depart around 10:00 a.m., with an expected arrival in Austin before 2:30 p.m.

The A330-900neo operating the route is one of Delta's newest widebody aircraft, carrying 281 passengers in a three-cabin configuration. Delta One features 29 lie-flat business seats arranged in a 1-2-1 layout; Delta Premium Select (DPS) offers 28 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration; the Main Cabin features 224 seats in a 2-4-2 layout; and 56 Delta Comfort+ seats located in the middle of the cabin offer extra pitch and legroom.

Joe Esposito, Delta's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, said Austin's growth continues to create new opportunities for customers, and Delta is proud to grow alongside it, with the first nonstop route from Austin to Paris being just one part of Delta's broader investment in the region.

Delta will become the only U.S. airline operating nonstop flights between Austin and Europe. Through its joint venture with Air France-KLM, passengers will have access to "nearly 60 destinations" across continental Europe, with onward connections to India and Africa. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines already operates nonstop flights between Austin and its Amsterdam hub. During next summer's peak season, Delta, Air France, and KLM will collectively offer up to 10 weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe. From Paris Charles de Gaulle, passengers can connect to popular destinations such as Barcelona, Rome, Madrid, Lisbon, Florence, Copenhagen, Geneva, Milan, and Nice, as well as onward to Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Casablanca, Marrakech, and Algiers. Esposito said that from expanding domestic routes to enabling international connectivity through the Air France-KLM partnership, Delta is making it easier than ever for customers to connect from Central Texas to destinations around the world.

With the launch of the Austin–Paris route, Delta's network in Austin continues to expand. On April 12, Delta will launch daily nonstop service between Austin and San Diego International Airport (SAN) using the A319; on the same day, existing service between Austin and San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) will increase from one to two daily flights, also operated by the A319. Delta also plans to adjust its Austin–Cancun International Airport (CUN) route from winter seasonal operations to year-round service in 2027.

In terms of airport facilities, Delta recently opened a base in Austin with more than 100 flight attendants and currently employs over 900 people in Central Texas. In conjunction with the airport expansion, Delta plans to open a second Delta Sky Club at Austin Airport, with the ultimate goal of operating a total of 15 gates in Concourse A.
