Wedoany.com Report-Jun 9, The City of Dallas has selected Trinity Alliance, led by AECOM Hunt and Turner Construction, as the construction manager for Component 1 of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Master Plan project in Dallas, Texas. Announced in 2025, Trinity Alliance will oversee preconstruction, construction, and demolition services for the center’s expansion.

Trinity Alliance includes equity joint venture partners BOWA Construction, CORE CMCI, EJ Smith Construction, GCC Enterprises, Pienado Construction, and Source Building. Supporting partners, such as Acari Management Group, BYRNE Construction Services, Copeland Contracting Company, LeVis Consulting Group, Mahuya Industries, Othon, RM Chin & Associates, and STL Engineers, will contribute expertise to ensure successful project delivery.

The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Master Plan aims to revitalize downtown Dallas, fostering economic growth and job creation. Component 1 focuses on modernizing the convention center to enhance its capacity and appeal, driving tourism and regional development. The project team brings extensive experience, having completed over 70 convention projects across the U.S., including centers in Fort Worth and San Antonio, and major venues like SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome, collectively generating over 150,000 jobs.

AECOM Hunt, a Dallas-based firm since 1979, has played a significant role in local infrastructure development. Turner Construction, celebrating 100 years in Texas in 2025, has shaped the Dallas-Fort Worth skyline with landmark civic and commercial buildings. Dewey Newton, co-principal of Turner Construction, stated: “Dallas is a city with vision – and this project helps build toward that next chapter. From jobs to tourism to long-term opportunity, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center will be a powerful driver of growth.”

The project aligns with Dallas’s goal of strengthening its position as a hub for business and tourism. Recent achievements by the lead partners include AECOM Hunt and Barton Malow’s appointment in 2025 as construction managers for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Stadium of the Future in Florida, and Turner Construction’s role in completing a key roof module for the $2.1 billion Highmark Stadium in New York in April 2025. These milestones highlight the team’s capability to handle large-scale projects, positioning the Dallas initiative for success.
