Predator Awards Drilling Contract for Snowcap-3 Well in Trinidad

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 17, Predator Oil & Gas has signed a contract with Star Valley Drilling (Trinidad) for Rig 205, preparing to drill the Snowcap-3 appraisal and development well in the onshore Cory Moruga license area of Trinidad and Tobago. Drilling and testing operations are scheduled to commence after the company completes operations at the MOU-6 well in Morocco, and formal spudding has not yet begun.

The Snowcap-3 well is designed as a vertical well with a planned measured depth of approximately 5,450 feet and an estimated drilling period of about 20 days. The primary target of the well is the Herrera 8 sand, with the secondary target being the potentially overpressured Herrera 1 sand. Following drilling and wireline logging evaluation, the company plans to conduct comprehensive well testing to determine a stable daily oil production rate suitable for surface production facilities.

Predator, integrating data from the Snowcap-2ST1, Snowcap-1, and Rochard-1 wells along with the latest 3D seismic interpretation, estimates that the Herrera 8 sand may contain an oil column of approximately 600 feet. The pre-drill model predicts that the Snowcap-3 well will encounter the target interval approximately 170 feet above the lowest known oil occurrence in the Rochard-1 well and evaluate the Herrera 1 sand approximately 200 feet above the oil-water contact in the Rochard-1 well.

Civil works for the Snowcap-3 well site and associated production facility area have been contracted to NABI Construction, with site preparation currently underway. Environmental approval for the project has been obtained, drilling and technical plans have been submitted for regulatory approval, and well site materials are being mobilized.
