en.Wedoany.com Reported - ADM announced on August 17 that it has expanded its operations in Scotland, adding new storage and berth capacity at the Port of Greenock, operated by Peel Ports Group, to support its feed business.

The expansion builds on ADM's existing operations at King George V Dock in Glasgow, Scotland. ADM stated that the two locations will together create a more integrated logistics network on the River Clyde, enhancing handling capacity, increasing supply chain flexibility, and strengthening service levels for feed customers in the region.

Jonathan Lane, Managing Director of ADM Agriculture Ltd and UK Country Manager for ADM, said that expanding the business footprint from Glasgow to Greenock represents a significant step in ADM's growth in the region. The additional capacity and logistics capabilities will help the business operate more efficiently, enhance supply chain resilience, and support the evolving needs of customers across Scotland. He also noted that collaboration with Peel Ports Group in recent years has played an important role in supporting the growth of ADM Agriculture in Scotland.

David Huck, Chief Operating Officer for Ports and Maritime at Peel Ports Group, said the group is pleased to strengthen its long-term partnership with ADM. Huck stated that ADM is a key strategic partner, and this investment underscores the importance of the River Clyde as a gateway for agricultural product imports serving Scotland. He looks forward to continued collaboration to support growth, efficiency, and resilience across the supply chain.

This investment comes at a time when Scotland's feed market continues to develop and demand for imported feed ingredients is growing. ADM said that expanding its operations in Greenock will help meet these changing market demands while supporting the long-term competitiveness of Scottish agriculture. The Greenock facility is scheduled to become operational later this year.
