U.S. Crux Helps Invenergy Secure $215 Million in Solar Financing

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 25, U.S. clean energy financing platform Crux completed a $215 million tax equity financing to support Invenergy's Pleasant Prairie solar project. Located in Franklin County, Ohio, the facility has a capacity of 240 MW (AC) and is currently under construction, with commercial operation expected in 2027.

The financing was arranged and underwritten by Crux Capital Securities and completed through investment vehicles managed by Crux, aimed at monetizing the project's federal investment tax credits.The Pleasant Prairie solar project is developed and owned by Invenergy. Once completed, it will supply power to the regional grid, with clean energy certificates acquired by a third-party offtaker.

The construction phase of the project is expected to create approximately 300 jobs and generate over $230 million in economic investment locally throughout its full lifecycle.Matthew Ransweiler, Invenergy's Head of North American Project Finance, stated that Crux's tax equity financing is a significant milestone for the Pleasant Prairie project, reflecting continued market confidence in projects that meet growing energy demand.

Construction of the Pleasant Prairie project began in June 2025, with Blattner serving as the EPC contractor. The modules are manufactured locally in Ohio by Illuminate USA, a company controlled by Invenergy.
