UPMRC awards INR 124 crore Agra Metro depot contract

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Tender results announced recently show that Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has awarded the AGCC-08 depot and maintenance workshop contract for Corridor 2 of the Agra Metro to GHV (India) Pvt. Ltd. at a bid amount of INR 123.96 crore. The estimated tender value for the project was INR 177.58 crore, with five companies participating in the bidding process.

The AGCC-08 package is located on Mall Road and serves Corridor 2 of the Agra Metro, running from Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar. The scope of the contract includes civil works, building structures, pre-engineered buildings (PEB), and MEP works for the depot and maintenance workshop, as well as water supply and drainage, boundary walls, site development, internal roads, electrical and mechanical installations, HVAC, firefighting, and fire detection systems. The contract duration is 540 days, i.e., 18 months from the date of commencement.

According to UPMRC's latest annual report, the Agra Metro project comprises two corridors with a total length of 29.4 km. Corridor 2 connects Agra Cantt with Kalindi Vihar, spanning 15.7 km with 14 elevated stations; Corridor 1 connects Taj East Gate with Sikandara, spanning 13.7 km.

The tender for this depot contract was floated in February 2026, with bids due on March 16. The final winning bid was INR 123.9584057 crore, the second-lowest bid was INR 124.7644234 crore, and the remaining three bidders quoted INR 130.98847507 crore, INR 132.481435 crore, and INR 137.3684834 crore respectively.
