Perigus Energy Acquires Approved 21 MW Wind Project in Germany
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Perigus Energy Deutschland has signed an agreement with ABO Energy to acquire the rights to the Olpe-Rehringhausen wind farm project. The approved project is located in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and its further development and construction will be handled by Perigus Energy.

This wind project has reached an advanced stage. The Olpe district authority issued the construction and operating permit on March 26, 2026, approving the installation of three wind turbines with a unit capacity of 7 MW each, totaling 21 MW. The site is located in a designated priority area for wind energy within the Rother Stein forest, near the B55 federal highway.
Approximately three kilometers east of the site, Perigus Energy is also advancing another wind farm project called Windfart. The company states that the proximity of the two projects will generate synergies in planning, construction, and subsequent operation.
Stefan Bachmaier, Managing Director of Perigus Energy Deutschland, stated that the acquisition of the Olpe-Rehringhausen project underscores the company's ability to secure high-quality projects even in the current market environment.
Perigus Energy, formerly known as OSTWIND and previously affiliated with Ørsted, develops, constructs, and operates wind, solar, and energy storage projects in Germany, Ireland, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The company is part of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, a Danish fund management company and one of the largest investors in offshore wind in the Baltic Sea. According to company reports, it has 668 MW of operational renewable energy capacity in Europe, more than 160 MW of solar and wind projects under construction, and has completed over 800 MW of installations in Germany over the past 30 years.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Perigus Energy is headquartered in Regensburg and also has an office in Essen.
