ChangXin LPDDR6 Enters Mass Production, Xiaomi 18 Fold to Debut with First Launch

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 29, ChangXin Memory, a subsidiary of ChangXin Technology, confirmed that its self-developed LPDDR6 memory chips have entered the stage of mass production. Xiaomi will debut this product globally in its new foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, which is scheduled for release in September.

According to the 2026 semi-annual report released by ChangXin Technology on August 28, this LPDDR6 chip achieves a peak data rate of 12800Mbps and a maximum capacity of 16GB per chip. As of June 30, the product had been sent to key customers for validation, and the company was advancing mass production at the time.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is expected to also feature Xiaomi's self-developed 3nm Xuanjie O3 mobile processor, which supports LPDDR6. ChangXin Technology's existing mobile memory products also include LPDDR4X, LPDDR5, and LPDDR5X, among which LPDDR4X and LPDDR5/5X have already entered mass production and shipment.
