Platina Resources Intersects 29m Gold Mineralization Zone
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 31, Platina Resources announced results from the first round of reverse circulation drilling at the Sunrise Bore Gold Project in Western Australia. Drill hole SBRC0023 intersected 29 meters of gold mineralization grading 3.38 g/t Au from 11 meters downhole, including an 11-meter interval grading 8.62 g/t Au. The project is located approximately 44 kilometers south of Laverton, and this drilling campaign represents the first modern drilling in the area since 1998.

A total of 23 reverse circulation holes were completed in this campaign, totaling 2,863 meters, laid out on 6 east-west drill lines spaced approximately 40 meters apart, targeting known gold mineralization around historical mines and workings. In addition to SBRC0023, hole SBRC0028 intersected 18 meters grading 1.12 g/t Au from 51 meters downhole, including 2 meters grading 6.25 g/t Au; hole SBRC0032 intersected 37 meters grading 0.43 g/t Au from 43 meters downhole, including 2 meters grading 5.26 g/t Au; hole SBRC0027 intersected 55 meters grading 0.25 g/t Au from 6 meters downhole; and hole SBRC0031 intersected 14 meters grading 0.64 g/t Au from 15 meters downhole.
Drilling has confirmed gold-bearing structures exceeding 80 meters in width, with multiple holes returning mineralization intervals of more than 30 meters. Mineralization starts near surface and extends along both strike and dip, and remains open beyond the areas tested to date. This campaign effectively tested approximately 200 meters of strike, while historical project data identifies a mineralized trend of approximately 1.2 kilometers in length, leaving roughly 1 kilometer of strike untested by this modern reverse circulation drilling program.
The current work at Sunrise Bore has formed a continuous exploration timeline since June. On June 26, Platina Resources completed the acquisition of Bravo Minerals, securing 100% interest in exploration license E38/4038, and commenced Phase 1 drilling the same day. At commencement, the program planned 23 reverse circulation holes totaling approximately 2,775 meters to test approximately 250 meters of the 1.2-kilometer historical mineralized trend; the final meterage was ultimately increased to 2,863 meters. This 1.2-kilometer mineralized trend lies within a structural corridor of approximately 3.6 kilometers in length.
In the next phase, Platina Resources will re-integrate the drilling, assay, and geological data from this campaign with historical information, focusing on determining the occurrence and controls of high-grade gold mineralization, while also assessing the extension of known mineralization along strike and down dip, and will use this to define subsequent drill targets. The company has not yet announced the number of holes, total meterage, or commencement date for the next drilling campaign; Sunrise Bore has also not yet disclosed any mineral resource estimate, ore reserve, mine design, or development decision.
