Canada's Goliath Completes 97-Hole Drilling at Surebet in 2026

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 22, Goliath Resources announced the completion of its 2026 drilling program at the Surebet gold discovery area, completing 97 drill holes with 7 drill rigs over 94 days, for a cumulative total of 48,443 meters. Surebet is located within the company's 100%-owned Golddigger project, in the "Golden Triangle" region of British Columbia, Canada. The company disclosed that, to date, a cumulative total of 483 drill holes have been completed at Surebet, all of which intersected quartz-sulfide mineralization, with visible gold found in 412 of the drill holes. Assay results for 83 drill holes from the 2026 drilling program remain pending.

This round of drilling expanded the planar extent of the Surebet mineralized system from 1.8 square kilometers before the 2026 drilling season to 2.01 square kilometers, an increase of approximately 12%. Among these, the Bonanza Zone expanded from 1.27 square kilometers to 1.51 square kilometers, with drilling extending the zone 750 meters to the southwest, 100 meters to the west, 100 meters to the north, and 160 meters to the northeast; the Golden Gate Zone expanded from 0.85 square kilometers to 1.17 square kilometers, extending 480 meters to the northeast and 540 meters to the southwest. Both mineralized zones currently remain open.

The 2026 drilling also identified a new Big Bulk Zone in the intersection area between Bonanza and Golden Gate. Visible gold was discovered in this zone, with its central mineralized belt reaching a maximum length of approximately 310 meters and a vertical extent of approximately 110 meters, and multiple sets of stacked mineralized veinlets developed in volcanic rocks, with a cumulative thickness of up to approximately 58 meters. The company currently identifies three types of gold-bearing mineralized rocks at Surebet: quartz-sulfide breccia and stockwork, precious and base metal veins in volcanic rocks, and Eocene intermediate to felsic dikes.

Cumulative drilling at Surebet since 2021 has exceeded 200,000 meters, and 46 stacked gold-rich veins have been identified to date. Between 2021 and 2025, the company completed more than 1,500 pierce points within the mineralized system, of which approximately 77% were spaced at 25 to 50 meters. The mineralization model established before the 2026 drilling included five stacked gold-bearing mineralized belts: Bonanza, Surebet, Golden Gate, Whopper, and Eldorado.S

Previously conducted metallurgical testing showed that, using a gravity concentration plus flotation process, gold recovery from composite core samples was 92.2%, silver recovery was 86.5%, and lead and zinc recoveries were 94.2% and 96.9%, respectively; using gravity concentration alone, gold and silver recoveries were 48.8% and 10.3%, respectively. The relevant tests did not use a cyanide leach process.

As assay results from the 83 drill holes are progressively returned, Goliath Resources will continue to update the 3D model of the high-grade gold mineralization at Surebet. After completing the compilation and modeling of all 2026 data, the company plans to use this as the basis for formulating its 2027 drilling program.
