China's Northernmost High-Speed Railway to Open on September 28

(hereinafter referred to as "China Railway") that the Harbin-Yichun High-Speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Harbin-Yichun HSR) will open on September 28. The fastest travel time between Harbin and Yichun will be 1 hour and 46 minutes. Cities including Suihua and Yichun will be connected to the national high-speed railway network, injecting new momentum into the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era.

The Harbin-Yichun HSR starts from Harbin Station, passes through Harbin City, Suihua City, and Tieli City in Heilongjiang Province, and ends at Yichun City. The line has a total length of 318 kilometers and a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. A total of 9 stations are set up along the entire line: Harbin, Harbin North, Hulan North, Xinglongzhen West, Suihua South, Qing'an South, Tieli, Riyuexia, and Yichun West.

The Harbin-Yichun HSR is located in China's high-latitude severe cold region, where extreme winter temperatures can reach minus 40 degrees Celsius, and the geological conditions are complex. Since the full-scale construction of the line began in 2022, all participating units and the vast number of builders have completed a number of key projects, including the Yongxing Hulan River Grand Bridge and the Tieli Hulan River Grand Bridge, ensuring the line's opening on schedule.

After the Harbin-Yichun HSR is completed and opened to traffic, its maximum operating speed will be 250 kilometers per hour. In the initial period of operation, the railway department will arrange a maximum of 38 EMU trains per day, including 4 cross-line EMU trains.

The Harbin-Yichun HSR is the northernmost high-speed railway in China. After the line opens, cities including Suihua and Yichun will enter the high-speed rail era, further improving the layout of the high-speed railway network in Northeast China, expanding the 2-hour traffic circle centered on Harbin, and holding great significance for promoting the development of tourism and ecological resources along the line, driving regional economic and social development, and supporting the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China.
