Italy's Eni-owned Plenitude cuts fixed electricity and gas prices by 30%

The offer opens on October 1, and users must complete sign-up by October 24.

According to Eni's estimates, households that sign up for both electricity and gas services can save an average of about 200 euros per year. This offer is part of Eni's "Eni for Italy" program and is mainly aimed at Italian residential users against the backdrop of currently high energy prices.

What Plenitude is adjusting this time are retail fixed electricity and gas prices, not wholesale market quotations. Eni had already imposed caps on diesel and gasoline prices starting this Monday, and this electricity and gas discount further covers the household energy consumption side.

The implementation period and sign-up window for this round of offers have been clearly defined, but Eni did not disclose in this announcement the specific electricity price per kilowatt-hour, natural gas price per cubic meter, the number of eligible customers, or the total cost corresponding to this measure. The Italian government is still studying related measures to ease the pressure of energy costs on households and businesses.
