en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 5, US on-demand 3D printing service provider Makelab opened a new production facility at the MADE: Bush Terminal industrial park in Brooklyn, New York, with a new site area of approximately 357 square meters. The park is located in Sunset Park and is promoted by the New York City Economic Development Corporation to cluster industrial design and urban manufacturing-related industries.

Makelab officially confirmed on June 30 that it had moved into the new Brooklyn production base and simultaneously expanded its production space and equipment capabilities. The company currently provides additive manufacturing services at the site including FDM, SLA, industrial-grade SLA, MJF, and FGF, processing more than 5,000 parts per week.

The new site offers greater logistics and equipment access conditions. VoxelMatters, citing information from Makelab co-founder and CEO Christina Perla, reported that the new facility can directly accommodate 53-foot trucks for large-volume orders and industrial customer pickups.

Makelab's business has now expanded further from prototyping to small-batch and production-grade parts. The company disclosed in April that 89.8% of its currently printed parts are already for production use, with business focus areas including product development, engineering validation, and small-batch manufacturing.

The new base remains in Brooklyn, with its headquarters address at 13 42nd Street, Building A, Suite 502. Makelab can currently handle production orders ranging from single prototypes to tens of thousands of units, with large and repeat orders scheduled according to material, equipment production scheduling, and post-processing requirements.
