Argentina's Huemul Project Uranium Sample Grades 4.21%
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 6, Jaguar Uranium announced the latest assay results from the Huemul uranium-copper-vanadium project in the Malargüe area of Mendoza Province, Argentina. Selective outcrop composite sample No. 4319 returned 4.21% U₃O₈, equivalent to 3.57% uranium, after over-limit re-analysis. The sample had previously exceeded the laboratory's routine detection limit of 25,000 ppm uranium and was subsequently re-analyzed using X-ray fluorescence methods.

These results are part of the first-pass surface sampling program at the Huemul project. Among the updated trench and rock chip samples, copper grades reached a maximum of 8.54%, silver up to 708 g/t, U₃O₈ up to 4.21%, and vanadium pentoxide up to 2.27%. Sampling covered eight target areas: Huemul Mine, Agua Botada, Uryco, Rosa, Vega Larga, Black Zone, Cerro Mirano, and Lucy, with trench sample lengths ranging from 0.5 meters to 2.8 meters.
Three target areas—Uryco-Rosa, Black Zone, and Vega Larga—were identified through geological mapping, rock sampling, and gamma surveys to have surface mineralization extents of approximately 2,200 meters, 1,300 meters, and 2,300 meters, respectively, collectively forming a mineralized corridor exceeding 4 kilometers, with mineralized elements including copper, uranium, vanadium, and some silver. The Cerro Mirano mineralized zone is associated with andesitic dykes and has a length of approximately 300 meters.
The Huemul project covers an area of more than 27,000 hectares and includes a historical uranium mine. Historical records show that the mine was operated by the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina from 1955 to 1975, during which approximately 130,000 tonnes of mineralized material were processed, with historical average head grades of 0.21% uranium, 2.0% copper, and 0.11% vanadium. Jaguar Uranium has not yet converted these historical data into current mineral resources or reserves.
Jaguar Uranium has used the results from this sampling round for subsequent target screening and is currently evaluating a first-pass drilling program at the Huemul project. The company also clarified that these results come from selective sampling targeting visible surface mineralization and cannot be directly used to infer orebody continuity, average grades, tonnage, or project resources.
