en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 9, Canadian mining company GoldHaven Resources announced the latest exploration progress at its Magno project in British Columbia. The company has completed 8 diamond drill holes at the Kuhn tungsten skarn target, with a cumulative footage of 1,729 meters. The most recently completed hole, GOH26-08, intersected skarn mineralization at depth, located approximately 80 meters along strike from the lower skarn mineralization previously discovered in hole GOH26-04. The drill rig has now been moved to the D Zone silver-lead-zinc target, and a new round of drilling has commenced.

The drilling at the Kuhn target in this round was conducted from two drill pads approximately 80 meters apart, using a fan drilling pattern. Hole GOH26-08 is located on Pad B, and its deep skarn intersection is situated to the south of the lower skarn mineralized zone previously discovered in hole GOH26-04 on Pad A. The two intersections lie on different drill sections, and follow-up infill drilling is still required to confirm the spatial continuity of the mineralized zone.

Hole GOH26-04 previously identified a new skarn horizon beneath the original down-dip extension of the mineralized zone. The currently interpreted lower skarn mineralized zone has a true thickness of approximately 20–45 meters. The hole passed through limestone, marble, and dolomite sequences, encountering magnetite, garnet, and diopside skarn, as well as semi-massive to massive sulfide and stockwork mineralization.

Samples from the drill holes at the Kuhn target in this round are still awaiting laboratory assay, and final test results confirming tungsten and associated metal grades have not yet been obtained. The company plans to integrate core logging, assay data, and subsequent drilling results to further determine the geometry, thickness, and extent of the mineralized zone.

The D Zone is located within the same Magno project, with silver, lead, and zinc polymetallic mineralization as its primary exploration target. The mineralization is hosted in carbonate rocks of the Lower Cambrian Atan Group. Galena, sphalerite, magnetite, and locally massive sulfide mineralization have been identified in the area. Ore body geometries include stratabound carbonate replacement mineralized bodies and crosscutting pipe-like mineralized zones.

Historical drilling in the area previously returned a 7.6-meter mineralized interval averaging 240 g/t silver, 4.73% lead, and 4.74% zinc. These historical results were generated prior to the implementation of Canada's NI 43-101 mining disclosure standards and have not been independently verified by a qualified person retained by GoldHaven.

The current drilling at the D Zone will focus on verifying the geometry and potential extensions of the historical silver-lead-zinc mineralized bodies. GoldHaven plans to combine the new drilling results with historical geological data, surface geochemical surveys, and modern geophysical data to revise the 3D geological model of the D Zone and the Magno mineralized trend.
