en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 26, Vijayshri Packaging, a carton packaging manufacturer based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, completed the installation of its fifth Japanese Komori press and advanced the construction of its third packaging production plant. The newly added equipment is a GL-640 Advance six-color plus inline coating sheetfed offset press, featuring a 28×40-inch printing format. Meanwhile, the new plant will add 110,000 square feet (approximately 10,200 square meters) of manufacturing space, with plans to increase board processing capacity by 45% to 50%, and is expected to commence operations in January 2027.

The GL-640 Advance installed this time is primarily tasked with conventional ink printing and is equipped with an inline anilox roller coating system and a PDL SX sheet scanning system. Vijayshri's existing Komori equipment also includes a GL640 six-color plus coating UV combination press installed in 2021, a GL637 six-color plus coating offset press purchased in 2022, and a GL637 combination press introduced in 2024. With the new equipment integrated into the production system, the plant's total number of Komori presses has increased to five.

The third plant is under construction. Before the expansion, the company's paper and board processing capacity was approximately 2,200 tons per month, with actual processing volume reaching 2,215 tons in September 2026. According to the company's expansion plan, by January 2027, once the new plant is operational, monthly processing capacity is expected to reach approximately 3,000 tons. The expansion will also add space for carton printing, post-press finishing, and related production, complementing the company's existing die-cutting, lamination, mounting, and folder-gluer equipment.

The carton post-press finishing section currently has 15 pieces of equipment procured through China Zhongke India Company, along with folder-gluers from brands such as Bobst and DGM, as well as die-cutting, screen printing, lamination, and corrugated board mounting equipment. Products cover single-layer folding cartons, three-layer and five-layer offset laminated corrugated boxes, and the company added rigid premium box production at the end of 2025.

The company also plans to increase the plant's solar power generation equipment capacity by 350 to 400 kVA with the commissioning of the third plant. The existing plant has a configured capacity of approximately 625 kVA, and after the expansion is completed, the company expects total configured capacity to exceed 1,000 kVA.
