en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 29, PSA Singapore and U.S. technology company Cisco announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop an AI-driven observability and incident management platform, with a proof of concept first launched at the Tuas Port Phase 2 Living Lab in Singapore. The platform will integrate real-time performance data from port applications, IT infrastructure, and network systems to help technical teams identify system anomalies, pinpoint root causes of failures, and formulate remediation plans.

The collaboration is part of Cisco's Country Digital Acceleration program. Both parties aim to leverage AI technology to improve the monitoring of critical digital systems at the port and reduce the impact of unplanned downtime on terminal operations and supply chain continuity. Tuas Port is currently the world's largest fully automated container terminal. Its Terminal Operating System (TOS) manages cargo movement, storage, and tracking; any failure could affect port operations and business continuity.

According to the technical plan announced by both parties, the platform will aggregate real-time performance data from PSA applications, infrastructure, and network systems into a unified view, and use AI to analyze the interdependencies between different services and infrastructure. When system anomalies occur, technical personnel can identify affected services, analyze root causes of failures, and receive real-time incident resolution recommendations. The platform will also adopt cloud-native security mechanisms to protect critical port infrastructure, prevent unauthorized access, and identify anomalous network traffic.

The platform will first be deployed at the Tuas Port Phase 2 Living Lab. This test environment will be used to validate and refine the technical solutions, providing real-world operating scenarios for subsequent applications. Tuas Port is still being built in phases, with overall expansion expected to continue into the 2040s. The collaboration is currently at the proof-of-concept stage; the two parties have not yet announced a timeline for full official operation of the platform, nor have they disclosed the project investment amount or quantifiable targets for downtime reduction.

Digital resilience is critical to the reliability and efficiency of global supply chains, and PSA will continue to explore new technologies to enhance operational resilience. AI-driven observability and security technologies can help enterprises gain real-time visibility into the operational status of complex critical infrastructure.
