en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 2, Austrian logistics service provider Jerich International (headquartered in Gleisdorf, Styria) opened a logistics facility at 6200 Beckley Street in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, serving customers along the U.S. East Coast effective immediately. The facility brings three core operations—warehousing, transloading, and fulfillment—together under one roof, enabling goods to be stored, transferred between different modes of transport, and prepared and shipped for end consumers' orders all at the same site.

The core rationale for the site selection is intermodal connectivity. The facility has direct access to Interstate 95 and is close to the Port of Baltimore, allowing transfers between ocean freight, warehousing, and inland distribution without relying on long-distance transshipment, forming a short "port—warehouse—highway" link in the transport and logistics chain. The location covers Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., three cities situated in one of the most populous and economically dense corridors in the United States. In addition to standard cargo, the facility also has heavy-lift handling capabilities and can accommodate oversized cargo flows requiring specialized transport solutions.

Baltimore is the latest node in Jerich's U.S. network. Jerich's other U.S. locations include Newport Beach (California), New York City, Oakland (California), Phoenix (Arizona), Savannah (Georgia), Seattle/Tacoma (Washington), and Norfolk (Virginia). Within this network, the Baltimore facility serves as an East Coast port-connected fulfillment node: it handles the warehousing and distribution of ocean-imported goods and also channels cargo flows to the U.S. domestic consumer market through transloading and fulfillment services.
