en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 3, UAE logistics company Aramex announced the launch of its Data Center Logistics service, providing integrated logistics solutions including equipment transportation, customs clearance, specialized handling, and on-site delivery for the construction and operation of AI data centers. The service was launched on November 1 in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Southeast Asia, China's Taiwan region, and the southern United States, primarily targeting data center developers, operators, engineering contractors, and manufacturers of power, cooling, and computing equipment.

The new service covers four stages: data center construction, computing equipment delivery, in-facility handling, and ongoing spare parts supply. During the construction phase, Aramex handles the transportation of equipment such as transformers, switchgear, generators, and cooling units, including oversized and heavy cargo, with deliveries scheduled according to project construction timelines. For computing equipment transportation, the company will handle the shipping of AI server racks and network equipment from manufacturing plants in China's Taiwan region, Southeast Asia, Mexico, the United States, and Europe, using charter flights or secure road transport, while also managing customs procedures and export control compliance matters.

Upon equipment arrival at the data center, Aramex will also provide specialized on-site services, including cargo unloading, unpacking, and equipment positioning within the server rooms. After the data center becomes operational, the service scope extends further to spare parts distribution, equipment replacement, and returns processing, covering the logistics needs of facilities from construction through operation.

Given the high value and stringent transportation requirements of AI server equipment, Aramex will establish complete shipping records for each server rack and install sensors inside equipment packaging boxes to continuously monitor shock, tilt, temperature, and humidity changes throughout transit until the cargo is signed for and handed over at the data center. According to Aramex, a packaged AI server rack weighs approximately 1.75 tons and may be worth millions of dollars, and transportation must also comply with export control requirements, placing high demands on cargo protection and delivery timeliness.

Aramex stated that the new service builds on the company's more than 40 years of experience in international freight forwarding, customs clearance, and project logistics. In the GCC region, the company has over 7,000 employees and operates its own facilities, warehouses, trucks, and customs clearance teams in each market; in China's Taiwan region, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, and Europe, its teams work directly with equipment manufacturers to coordinate transportation and delivery from factories to data centers.
