en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 3, Canadian mining company Vizsla Copper completed the 2026 field exploration program at its Palmer copper-zinc-silver project in Alaska, USA, having drilled a total of 25 diamond drill holes totaling 10,005 meters with two drill rigs. Drilling covered the Palmer and AG deposits as well as five additional exploration targets, two of which had not previously been drilled. The company has released assay results for five drill holes; data from the remaining holes will be used to update the deposit geological model.

This exploration round also included drone photogrammetry, glacier studies, wetland and raptor surveys, and hydrogeological monitoring, along with improvements to the field camp and supporting infrastructure. Drilling and site operations involved contractors including More Core, Tamarack Geological Services, and Coastal Helicopters. The company plans to use the winter to organize geological data, update the mineralization model, and prepare for the 2027 exploration program.

Vizsla Copper plans to incorporate the 2026 drilling data into an updated mineral resource estimate for the Palmer project, targeted for release in the first quarter of 2027. The company will combine exploration data from the Palmer and AG deposits and other targets to further evaluate mineralization distribution, extent, and resource potential.

Project operator Constantine has applied to the Alaska Department of Natural Resources to extend the term of existing exploration authorization APMA #5690, proposing to extend the permit expiry date from December 31, 2028 to December 31, 2033. The state regulatory authority has issued a public notice; the extension application concerns existing exploration activities within state-owned mining claims approved in January 2025.
