en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 3, Canadian mining company PMET Resources released the results of the fifth integrated mineral resource estimate for the Shaakichiuwaanaan lithium-cesium-tantalum project in Quebec. The cesium oxide (Cs₂O) content of the CV13 pegmatite cesium mineralized zone increased from 71,000 tonnes to 110,600 tonnes, a gain of 55%. This update incorporates the Vega and Rigel zones as well as the Helios mineralized zone, which was estimated for the first time, increasing the ore tonnage of the cesium mineral resources by 18% and raising the average grade by 31%.

The updated cesium mineralized zone contains indicated mineral resources of 1.844 million tonnes at an average cesium oxide grade of 4.40%, corresponding to 81,200 tonnes of cesium oxide; and inferred mineral resources of 981,000 tonnes at an average cesium oxide grade of 3.00%, corresponding to 29,400 tonnes of cesium oxide. The effective date of this resource estimate is July 10, 2026, using a 0.50% cesium oxide cut-off grade.

PMET has for the first time reported rubidium mineral resources within the cesium mineralized zone. The average rubidium oxide grade is 0.46% for indicated resources and 0.37% for inferred resources. The rubidium resources occur within the same mineralized system as the cesium resources, and the project's subsequent economic evaluation will further examine development options for the associated minerals.

This integrated resource update also covers the CV5, CV13 and CV4 pegmatite bodies. The project's indicated lithium resources total 113.9 million tonnes at an average lithium oxide grade of 1.43%, corresponding to 4.03 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent; inferred mineral resources total 33.8 million tonnes at an average lithium oxide grade of 1.24%, corresponding to 1.03 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent. Compared with the previous estimate, the project's lithium resource ore tonnage increased by 4% and contained lithium metal increased by 5%.

The CV4 pegmatite body has been included in the integrated mineral resource estimate for the first time, adding inferred mineral resources of 1.75 million tonnes at an average lithium oxide grade of 1.24%. This ore body is located approximately 1.5 kilometers east of the CV5 pegmatite body. The updated integrated estimate also shows that the project's indicated mineral resources contain approximately 18,700 tonnes of tantalum pentoxide, and its inferred mineral resources contain approximately 5,100 tonnes of tantalum pentoxide.

PMET plans to use the results of this resource update to support a new feasibility study for the CV5 pegmatite lithium-tantalum project, as well as an integrated preliminary economic assessment covering lithium, cesium and tantalum at CV5 and CV13. Both studies are scheduled for publication before the end of 2026. Drilling data newly completed in 2026 were not included in this estimate, and the company plans to use the relevant results in the next resource update, expected in the second half of 2027.
