en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 6, Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal) awarded a road and infrastructure works contract worth approximately QAR 722 million (about USD 197 million) to local contractor Tadmur Contracting Company. The project is located in the area north of Al-Rifaa Street in the capital Doha, and its scope includes more than 34 kilometers of roads and supporting municipal facilities, as well as plot development, site clearance, earthworks backfilling, and drainage system construction.

Road works are one of the main components of the project. The construction scope includes new roads, road cross-section facilities, curbs, and pavement structures, along with roadside parking areas and 3,735 parking spaces. The project also includes supporting facilities such as road landscaping, street lighting, road markings, and directional signage to improve traffic circulation and parking services in the area.
Drainage system construction is another key focus of the works. Among these, the surface water drainage facilities will connect to the regional drainage network, while the sewage network and treated water transmission facilities will handle regional sewage collection and the conveyance of treated water resources.
The project also includes power supply and distribution facilities, water supply mains, and other underground utility construction, specifically involving various pipelines, inspection manholes, stormwater inlets, and customer connection facilities. Road construction will be carried out in parallel with water, power, and drainage network works, covering multiple stages from underground pipeline laying and road foundation construction to pavement and ancillary facility construction.
