Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 29, China-Europe freight trains have completed a cumulative total of 120,000 trips, transporting goods valued at over 490 billion U.S. dollars, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway) announced on Friday.
The milestone trip departed from Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, bound for Poland, marking the 120,000th journey since the service began.
The range of goods carried has grown significantly, now covering 53 categories and more than 50,000 product types. Key exports include high value-added items such as complete automobiles, auto components, mechanical equipment, and electronic and electrical products.
As a major component of the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Europe freight train network has developed into a reliable cross-continental logistics corridor connecting Asia and Europe.
The service currently operates routes to 232 cities across 26 European countries, providing stable and efficient transport links that support trade and economic cooperation between the two regions.
