Chevron Continues Involvement in Venezuela's Oil Resource Development

The company's sustained presence in Venezuela positions it as one of the key players in the local oil sector within the current environment.

Chevron has recently continued exporting Venezuelan crude oil. Through its cooperation with Venezuela's state-owned oil company, PDVSA, the company maintains a production level of approximately 200,000 barrels per day and ships part of the output to refineries along the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Francisco Monaldi, Director of the Latin American Energy Policy Program at Rice University, stated: "These are very tricky situations. But Chevron is a very attractive partner for both the Venezuelan and the U.S. government. In almost any scenario, that is a very powerful strategic position." This perspective reflects Chevron's ongoing involvement in Venezuela's oil resource development.

Chevron has been conducting business in Venezuela since 1923 and has obtained relevant licenses for its continued operations in the country.
