Wedoany.com Report-Dec.22, CNOOC Limited announced the official commencement of production at its Xijiang Oil Field Block 24 development project. The oil field project is located in the shallow water area of the Pearl River Mouth Basin.

The development of this oil field project primarily relies on the existing facilities of the neighboring Huixi Oil Field and includes the construction of a new unmanned wellhead platform. The project plans to put 10 development wells into production and is expected to achieve a stable production capacity of approximately 18,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2026, producing light crude oil.

The newly constructed Xijiang 24-7 platform is China's first unmanned offshore platform designed for handling high-temperature fluid cooling and output. Its temperature control system helps mitigate the impact of high temperatures on subsea pipelines, thereby ensuring continuous and stable production.

CNOOC Limited holds and operates this oil field project with a 100% interest.
