Australian-listed company Broken Hill Mines is accelerating preparations to resume operations at its Pinnacles silver, lead, and zinc mine in the Far West region of New South Wales, targeting initial production in the June quarter of 2026. This capital-efficient restart plan aims to supply ore to its underutilized Rasp processing plant located 15 kilometers away in Broken Hill.

To support the mine restart, BHM has signed mining services and ore transport contracts, completed key personnel hiring, and initiated surface preparations, including ramp upgrades and clearing of old facilities. Concurrently, the company has mobilized two drill rigs to site, planning to execute a total of 25,000 meters of infill and resource upgrade drilling. This program aims to expand the scale of existing high-grade resources and collect data necessary for mine design.

BHM is also continuing metallurgical optimization testing to determine the most efficient processing scheme for handling ore from multiple sources at the Rasp plant. The test results will provide crucial input for finalizing operational parameters ahead of production commencement.
