Wedoany.com Report on Feb 2nd, with the removal of the last kilometer of temporary safety facilities, the Zhangshu to Ji'an Expressway in Jiangxi was essentially completed and opened to traffic along its entire length as an eight-lane highway (hereinafter referred to as the Zhang-Ji Expressway Expansion Project). This project, invested in by Jiangxi Provincial Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd. and constructed with participation from China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., will significantly enhance the traffic capacity and service level of the Zhangshu to Ji'an section, having been opened for speeds up to 100 km/h from the previous construction-stage limit of 80 km/h.

The Zhang-Ji Expressway Expansion Project is a key provincial project in Jiangxi, carrying the important mission of connecting the "last mile" of north-south transportation, with a total length of approximately 105 kilometers. The A1 contract section undertaken by China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. spans 21.2 kilometers. Within this section, the Yuanhe Grand Bridge, with a total length of 868 meters and a main span of 152 meters, is the prestressed continuous bridge with the largest span currently under construction for expressways in Jiangxi.

The Zhangshu to Ji'an Expressway is a segment of the vertical main artery within Jiangxi Province's "cross-shaped" expressway backbone network. After the expansion, it will become a new rapid corridor connecting the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River to the north and extending into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to the south. This will significantly improve north-south traffic capacity and service levels, providing strong transportation support for the high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas in southern Jiangxi.
