Wedoany.com Report on Feb 3rd, Forestry-related securities (FLS) and the engineering company DecarboEngineering have recently reached a strategic cooperation to jointly carry out decarbonization projects in Paraguay. Their first collaborative project, named the "Alfheim Project," is expected to process 35,000 tons of waste biomass annually, producing approximately 13,000 tons of high-quality biochar. The project utilizes pyrolysis technology provided by Haichi Environmental Energy Group and is committed to developing scalable carbon removal solutions.

According to the partners, the Alfheim Project can sequester about 25,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually, while generating clean energy for local industrial use and producing WBC-certified biochar products for agricultural applications in Paraguay. In this collaboration, FLS serves as the project developer and manager, constructing operations according to institutional standards; DecarboEngineering is responsible for providing carbonization technology guidance and assisting in optimizing project design and system configuration.

Alessandro Maternini, Managing Partner of FLS, stated: "By combining our project development capabilities with DecarboEngineering's technical expertise, we aim to set a higher standard for regional biomass carbonization projects." Thomas Hoffmann, CEO of DecarboEngineering, pointed out: "The Alfheim Project demonstrates the value of engineering innovation and technology transfer, helping the local area convert biomass waste into climate benefits and generate economic returns."

Currently, the two companies are evaluating follow-up deployment plans to jointly support climate-friendly infrastructure development in emerging markets. The biochar project being advanced in Paraguay showcases the application potential of carbon removal technology and provides practical reference for sustainable solutions.
