This signifies the official commencement of the general assembly phase for the turbine.
The runner, the core component that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy, is often referred to as the "heart" of the unit. The hoisted runner is of considerable size, with an upper crown diameter of 5.11 meters and a lower ring diameter of 5.98 meters. After connection to the turbine shaft, the overall height reaches 6.84 meters, imposing stringent requirements on both manufacturing and hoisting precision.
To ensure the safe placement of this crucial component, the project team conducted multiple reviews of the hoisting plan, while also completing comprehensive inspections of the crane equipment and thorough safety and technical briefings for all personnel. After a "three lifts and three lowers" test hoist, the 155-ton runner was steadily lifted from the assembly bay, smoothly moved above the pit, and finally installed accurately in position. Inspection data indicated that key parameters such as the levelness of the main shaft flange face and the clearance of the lower seal ring all met the design requirements.
Subsequent construction will proceed as planned with the installation of components for the water guide mechanism, such as guide vanes and the head cover, to ensure the unit is commissioned for power generation on schedule. Located in Hanbin District, the Ankang Hydropower Station is a key facility in the cascade development of the main stream of the Han River, serving multiple functions including flood control, ecological maintenance, and power supply. The renovation of Unit 1 aims to eliminate equipment hazards and enhance operational performance and reliability. Upon completion, it will strengthen the stability of the regional power grid's electricity supply and further leverage its comprehensive benefits.
