Project Name: Pool Renovation and Expansion - Package 14 - Stainless Steel Pools

Procurement Method: Open Tender

CPV Code: 45212212 Swimming-pool construction work

Project Description: Supply and installation of stainless steel pools

Project Content: Includes pool bodies, pool installations, pool hydraulics, piping and installation, pool equipment, underwater lighting, etc., for the swimming pool, teaching pool, and children's splash pool

Scope of Works:

Swimming Pool (Schwimmerbecken)

Pool Body (Beckenkörper)

Dimensions: Standard pool length is typically 25m or 50m, width determined by number of lanes (8 lanes: 21m wide, 10 lanes: 25m wide)

Water Depth Requirements: Competition pool depth ≥1.8m, training pool depth can be adjusted according to design requirements

Pool Walls and Floor: Smooth surface, installation of lane center lines (dark colored marking lines)

Pool Installations (Beckeneinbauten)

Lane Ropes: Buoyant ropes with diameter of 11-15cm, attached to both ends of pool walls, with rope hooks set into the pool walls

Fixed Anchors: For securing lane ropes, material: stainless steel

Starting Blocks: Set at the center line of each lane, block surface 50cm×50cm, front edge of block facing water surface 50-70cm above water level, block surface inclination towards water ≤10 degrees

Handrails/Ladders: Stainless steel material, for easy pool entry and exit for swimmers

Backstroke Turn Indicator: Installed 5m from pool end, for backstroke turn indication

False Start Rope: Installed 15m from starting end, for recalling starts during competition

Pool Hydraulic System (Beckenhydraulik)

Circulation Method: Can use counter-current, co-current, or mixed flow systems

Flow Distribution: Ensure uniform water circulation, no short-circuiting, eddies, or dead zones, with special attention to surface water renewal

Turnover Period: Public pool turnover period typically 4-6 hours

Pool Piping and Installation (Beckenverrohrung und -installation)

Pipe Material: Can use ABS, CPVC, UPVC potable water plastic pipes; copper or stainless steel pipes may be used for special requirements

Pipe Pressure: Nominal pressure ≥1.0MPa

Flow Velocity: Circulation supply pipes ≤2.0m/s; circulation return pipes 0.7-1.0m/s

Installation Method: Laid in perimeter pipe galleries or trenches around pool, with manholes, lifting holes, drainage devices, ventilation, and maintenance lighting

Slope Requirement: Return pipes should have a slope ≥0.5%

Pool Equipment (Beckenausstattung)

Inlets: Installed in pool walls or floor, corrosion-resistant material (copper, stainless steel, plastic), outer surface flush with pool wall/floor during installation

Outlets: Installed in pool floor, for collecting circulation return water, installation requirements same as inlets

Overflow Gutter: Installed around pool perimeter, composite grating cover, effectively collecting surface water

Overflow Gutter Outlet: Connected to return pipe, ensuring timely drainage of surface water

Pool Wall Vacuum Connection: For connecting pool floor cleaning equipment, facilitating pool bottom cleaning

Hair and Lint Strainer: Copper or stainless steel material, strainer basket aperture ≤3mm, area 1.5-2 times the cross-sectional area of connecting pipe

Underwater Lighting (UW-Beleuchtung)

Luminaire Type: Class III luminaires for protection against electric shock

Supply Voltage: Safety Extra-Low Voltage (SELV) system, nominal voltage ≤12V

Power Source Location: Installed outside zone 2 (at a certain distance from pool edge)

Installation Requirements: Underwater viewport well sealed, ensuring electrical safety

Illuminance Requirements: Meet lighting needs for swimming and competition, evenly distributed

Teaching Pool (Lehrschwimmerbecken)

Pool Characteristics

Dimensions: Typically short course (25m) or smaller, suitable for teaching and training

Water Depth Design: Transition from shallow area (0.8-1.2m) to deep area (1.4-1.8m), accommodating learners of different levels

Poolside Facilities: Handrails densely installed for easy entry and exit for beginners

Pool Installations

Lane Ropes: Fewer than standard pool, adapted to teaching needs

Starting Blocks: Can be simplified or use deck start method

Ladders/Handrails: Installed at multiple locations for easy entry and exit for beginners

Lifeguard Chair: Equipped with lifeguard observation position

Hydraulic System and Piping

Basic requirements same as standard pool, but turnover period can be appropriately shortened (3-4 hours), ensuring fresh water quality

Piping design must consider special flow distribution in shallow areas

Pool Equipment

Inlets/Outlets: Layout considers different needs of shallow and deep areas

Vacuum Connection: For easy daily maintenance and cleaning

Underwater Lighting

Brightness Requirements: Slightly higher than standard pool, for better observation of movements during teaching

Uniform Distribution: Avoid shadow areas affecting teaching

Children's Splash Pool (Kinderplanschbecken)

Pool Characteristics

Dimensions: Small pool, typically area 20-50㎡

Water Depth Design: Very shallow area (0.2-0.4m) and shallow area (0.5-0.8m), ensuring child safety

Shape Design: Can be designed with irregular shapes to increase fun

Pool Installations

Handrails/Ladders: Specially designed for child height, easy to grip

Safety Features: Non-slip pool floor, rounded corners, no sharp edges

Splash Features: Can be equipped with small water features according to client requirements

Pool Hydraulic System

Circulation Method: Independent circulation system, must not be shared with other pools

Turnover Period: Very short turnover period (1-2 hours), ensuring extremely high water quality requirements

Disinfection Requirements: Enhanced disinfection to prevent cross-infection

Pool Piping and Installation

Pipe Material: Corrosion-resistant material, compliant with drinking water hygiene standards

Installation Requirements: Piping concealed installation, ensuring aesthetics and safety

Pool Equipment

Inlets/Outlets: Concealed location to prevent child contact

Overflow Gutter: Installed around entire perimeter for timely collection of overflow water

Water Quality Monitoring: Automatic monitoring equipment for real-time water quality safety

Cross-cutting Works (übergreifende Bauleistungen)

Construction Coordination: Interface coordination with other work packages (e.g., civil works, MEP, finishing)

Foundation Preparations: Coordinating with civil works for pool foundation and embedded parts preparation

Equipment Room: Coordination with equipment room construction for accurate pipe connections

Finished Work Protection: Protection measures for completed sections during construction

Phased Acceptance: Conducting phased acceptance in line with overall project progress
